How to Apply — PM Surya Ghar

  1. Register at pmsuryaghar.gov.in with your electricity consumer number and Aadhaar.
  2. Get a quote from an empanelled solar vendor in your state (list on the portal).
  3. Submit online application with vendor details and system size.
  4. DISCOM conducts a technical feasibility inspection.
  5. After approval, vendor installs the system.
  6. DISCOM installs a bidirectional net meter.
  7. Subsidy amount is credited directly to your bank account within 30 days of commissioning.

Collateral-Free Loan

Under PM Surya Ghar, banks offer collateral-free loans up to ₹2 lakh at subsidised interest rates (7–9% p.a.). Even after applying for the loan, the subsidy is credited to your account — effectively reducing your outstanding principal.
